Dear Fellow Servants September 30 2015
The colors at Refuge Ranch in the bright morning sun are magnificent to behold. The frost and the early fall sun bring about change that is brilliant in color but serves as a notice of a season coming when the cold drives us inside to hibernate in long nights and short days. The fresh snow on the distant mountains in the west indeed confirm that winter is on the way.
However, the blessed ministry of the wonderful Gospel Message carries on. Since our last Bulletin, Carol and I have attended a Memorial Service for my oldest brother, and a Funeral for a good friend who was very regular at Refuge Ranch Music Day. These are sad notes, but for their sakes we would never wish them back to our midst We have also had the great privilege of doing Pulpit Ministry in churches at Two Hills, and
Mewassin, as well as a "fund raiser" in Taber for Compassion Ministries. My heart always bursts with joy when the opportunities come for service in various churches. In October we are looking forward to serving at the Taber EMC Church, as well at me Livingstone Church in Red Deer.
The services at the Bowden Institution on the third Wednesday of the month are well attended. and well received, the preaching as well as the singing. In the studies at Drumheller and the MSU we have completed I John as well as a study on the Rapture, We will now do a two part study on Jude. I have a nucleus often plus students at the Drumheller Institution who are a pure delight to teach. I know that many an Adult Sunday School teacher would be impressed with students that would be as quick with The Word as three of my students are. Their Bibles are in constant action during the study. and that is not to prove the Bible wrong either.
The crowd at Loaves and Fishes is growing from month to month. In September they needed more than one setting to feed them all. On August the 5th we had the tremendous blessing of having
Dieter Penner of Kola, Manitoba with us to play the accordion and the piano. These are very special blessings for Carol and I, and the people truly enjoyed the added music. Music Days at Refuge Ranch have been incredibly good during the summer months, and we are planning a very special Music Day for Oct. 10th. It happens to be on my birthday, the 70th no less. and on Oct 30th will be Carol and My 50th Wedding Anniversary, so we will celebrate that also in conjunction with that Music Day. Come join us. However in November. Music Day will divert to
one concert only in the afternoon starting at 2:30 PM. Also I am planning a Bible Study and prayer time called "The Way, The Truth, and The Life for the winter months, starting Monday, November the 3rd at 7:30 PM. Everyone Welcome.
In our last Bulletin I mentioned three major expenses. The Property Insurance was due on August the 7th. The funds came in on time ''Hallelujah". We are now in the process of putting tin on the dining
hall. The labour is donated, and we trust our Lord through His servants to provide tor the funds to pay the product, some of you have already donated towards this project. Property Taxes are due Oct. 31st,
and we believe that will be provided as well. You are indeed a wonderful special group of Fellow Servants in this ministry, may God Bless you real good for being our partners!
